National Planning Portal
The National Planning Portal is the UK Government's online planning and building regulations resource for England and Wales. People can use this site to learn about planning and building regulations, apply for planning permission, find out about development near you, appeal against a decision and research government policy. There is also a raft of information relating to building greener homes, permitted development rules and regulations and how to appeal local authority planning decisions.
Adelante have built an interface that allows local councils to integrate credit
and debit card payments made by the general public directly into their SmartPay system. This means payments made to the Planning Portal website are processed in the same way and through the same mechanism as payments made using the local authorities own website. This has a number of advantages, not least of which is that the reconciliation process in LogSmart will ensure that planning payments made will be updated in the relevant back office system.
