DeskSmart

By installing our unique credit card processing software solution, either on individual workstations or on the corporate network we can allow council staff to accept credit and debit card payments anywhere in the council. The application allows workstations to authorise real-time Credit and Debit Card payments directly with your Acquiring Bank. DeskSmart works in your call centre or cash office or satellite venues such as leisure centres and libraries. Fully compliant with Chip & PIN regulations DeskSmart offers the latest in credit card processing security.

User access to the system is controlled by user names and passwords set up by an administrator in LogSmart. Clever features such as prevention of repeat passwords and automatic password expiry are built in. Administrators can also restrict individual users to selected functions within the software and these can then be accessed via mouse, shortcut keys or drop-down menus.

DeskSmart is designed to work in conjunction with CashSmart if required. It links directly to LogSmart which provides all of the validation, data feeds and fund code rules required to process a successful payment. The average clearance time for a credit or debit card payment is between 4 and 6 seconds.

DeskSmart can also be integrated into third party applications such as leisure centre, library, parking or planning applications allowing the council to accept payments in these areas directly from your existing software applications. For more information please see the Payments Interface page.
