CashSmart
As part of the SmartPay payments solution, CashSmart provides the capability to accept, process and generate receipts for cash or cheque payments within your cash offices and at other locations such as leisure centres, libraries or theatres. CashSmart integrates directly with LogSmart providing a full audit trail for all cash or cheque payments made into the council from anywhere within the organisation.
User access
Access to the system is controlled by user names and passwords set up by an administrator in LogSmart. Clever features such as prevention of repeat passwords and automatic password expiry are built in. Administrators can also restrict individual user access to selected functions within the software and these can then be accessed via mouse, shortcut keys or drop-down menus.
Debit and credit card payments can be added to CashSmart via the DeskSmart interface with support for either telephone, keyed, swiped or Chip & PIN entry.
Offline operation
CashSmart has been developed to allow the system to continue to function whilst offline allowing staff to continue to serve the public if the system has to be taken down for maintenance or is not operational.
Third Party Devices
Many councils use third party devices such as card readers, cash tills and small footprint printers. CashSmart allows these to be seamlessly integrated into the system to improve the speed or processing and the associated customer service provided.
