What are the advantages of accepting credit and debit cards?
As most people carry very little or no cash at all, accepting cards means you will gain more customers and those already buying from you may even spend more. What’s the shortest length of time I can hire a machine for?
3 days is our minimum hire period for short-term Chip and PIN hire.
Why do I have to pay a holding deposit to hire a machine?
A Chip and PIN machine costs around £500 new, and therefore the holding deposit ensures we don’t lose money if a machine is broken or not returned. As long as the machine is used properly and looked after, we fully return the deposit as soon as the machine is received back in our office.
Can you deliver to the event I am attending?
We prefer to deliver the Chip and PIN machine to your business or home address before the event as often our couriers have problems getting access to some event halls.
I’ve never used a Chip and PIN machine before, are they easy to use?
Yes, they are very straight forward and easy to use. Full instructions are included in the bag, and our technicians are on hand if assistance is needed.
What data network do your Chip and PIN machines use?
Most of our machines are dispatched with Roaming SIMS, which means the machine can operate smoothly by switching networks when one network becomes weak or non existent.
Do I need a merchant account?
Yes, you do need a merchant account to connect the Chip and PIN machine to. These usually take 7 to 10 days to set up and we can arrange an account for you.
Can I close the merchant account after the event I’m attending?
Absolutely. You can close it by notifying the merchant provider. They will send you your invoice, and then close the account.
