DeskPOS
MobilePOS was originally developed to process mobile credit card payments. However, the functionality has now been extended to include a computer or laptop based virtual terminal that allows you to process credit and debit card payments in your office. This replaces the need for a stand alone bank terminal or PDQ machine and is primarily used to process call centre or mail order payments. Office based Chip and PIN terminals are expensive and pointless if the card holder is not present at the point the card is processed because you are unable to take advantage of the additional security offered by Chip and PIN.
DeskPOS also includes a powerful Merchant Administration system that allows you to manage users, process refunds and reconcile all you credit card transactions with your banks card statement.
The virtual terminal also allows you to print or email credit card receipts
configured with your company details to the person making the card payment,
something you can not do with a typical bank terminal. This is ideal for call centre

DeskPOS removes the requirement to rent a stand-alone terminal from the bank, typically saving £18 per month in terminal rental charges and £13 per month in telephone line rental.
