MobilePOS and Android

Designed for Android mobile phones and now available in the Android Market MobilePOS for the Android allows users to process credit and debit card payments by using their Android phone as a virtual payment terminal. The application prompts you for the information required such as credit card number, expiry date, security code, transaction amount etc. Once the application has collected the required information it connects to the MobilePOS payment server using a secure and encrypted SSL connection and submits the payment request to your bank. The bank process the payment and then display the results on the phone.

Neither the Android application or the MobilePOS server store your customers credit and debit card details and Adelante are accredited to the PCIDSS security standard ensuring card details are secure. MobilePOS on the Android is free for all MobilePOS account holders and allows merchants to take payments on the move when access to their computer is unavailable.

It is also possible to integrate third party Android applications into MobilePOS service by using the free API provided as part of the MobilePOS product range.
